THE LE TADORNE RESTAURANT
In Piney, near to Troyes in the Aube département, chef Patrice Carillon works busily with his team to serve guests at Le Tadorne hotel and restaurant homemade dishes which offer a real taste of the gastronomy and culinary traditions of Champagne.
THE FLAVOURS OF LE TADORNE
Local produce is well represented on the menu and the “rustic” Troyes andouillette sausage features prominently. Lovers of tasty authentic products are in for a treat. Others may prefer beef with creamy Chaource cheese - another pleasure for the palate. And this is just one of a wide range of meat and fish dishes prepared with a perfectionist’s eye for detail. To make your mouth water, we need only mention Le Tadorne’s delicious “duck foie gras” or the “fillet of perch in red wine concentrate” ... And when it comes to desserts, you won’t be able to resist the “homemade iced nougat with acacia honey” or the “grapefruit gratin with honey”.
LE TADORNE’S CHARMING PREMISES
All these exquisite creations are served in a restaurant which is the only one of its kind in the region, with its huge picture windows through whose lofty half-timbered structure guests can admire Piney market hall. It is a warm and friendly environment and, in winter, a huge open fire sets the place aglow. The restaurant can accommodate up to forty diners. Its capacity is doubled during the summer months (May to September), when its pleasant terraces are open. Positioned right at the heart of an architectural complex, it provides diners, at lunchtime and in the evening, with an opportunity to step back in time and give free rein to their imagination.
LE TADORNE ALSO OFFERS BRASSERIE MENUS!
At midday, the bar in what was formerly the Hôtel des Voyageurs offers a brasserie menu - the “Express” fixed-price menu. This, as its name suggests, enables diners to enjoy a quick and wonderfully enjoyable lunch before heading out for more activities. The fixed-price menu is very attractively priced: €10 for a starter and a main course or a main course and a dessert.
